This joint’s for slingin’ that 1940s jive talk

What’s cookin’, hep cats? This joint’s for slingin’ that 1940s jive talk, straight from the Harlem hop! We’re talkin’ zoot suits, reefer dreams, and that righteous jazz jabber that makes the floor jump. No squares or drips, only the hip, diggin’ the vibe. Got it, Jack?

Lay it down, cats! If you got any jive talk resources, glossaries, or videos, sling ‘em in the mix! Let’s keep this scene jumpin’ with the hep lingo!

woah i did know cab calloway wrote minnie the moocher, i also didn't know "beard" was a term from frank sinatra..

reading through this hepster's dictionary is like reading a foreign language dictionary but it's crazy how much of these are still used relatively frequently:
>gimme some skin
>cat (referring to musicians)
>chick (referring to girl)
>corny
>the man
>threads
