Where did you get your username/profile picture?

got my name from the dumpster and the profile picture doesn't matter since it's not sure for how long it will stay. If you read this and I'm still holding this big fat fish then congrats to me for sticking with one pfp for longer than two days

I'm not really sure, I don't really stick with one aesthetic and base my personality on it but there's aesthetics I like more than others

What do you do for fun?

I like to listen to music and watch movies sometimes, I like to read sometimes as well. I like to go for walks to clear my mind when I feel like it. I also like to annoy my dog

• Where did you get your username/profile picture?

I wanted to have a name that didn't necessarily sound like anything else that exists, like an object or an animal or whatever noun. The character on my PFP is Koishi Komeiji from Touhou Project. She's my personal "literally me" character.

• How'd you find this place?

Dug, the creator of this site, offered me to create site graphics, which I will hopefully pump out later this month.

• What's your favorite aesthetic?

I like various retro-futuristic aesthetics from the late 90s to late 2010s.

• What do you do for fun?

I draw, photograph, bump to music and pet my dog.

Dunno if I have a true #1 favorite from any genre but I'll share a #1 favorite from jazz since I know this forum is kinda themed around that.

Where did you get your username/profile picture?

Honestly, my username is the result of me slapping random sounds together until I found something that I was happy with. I mostly just wanted a name that sounded cool and was unique enough that it's rarely already taken when I sign up for a new platform. Some of my older online personas had usernames centered around the word "arcane", so the "arc" part of this name came from there.

My profile picture was made to go along with this new username. I've always liked pixel art and its one of the few art things I'm okay at, so I decided to go with a minimal, pixelated letter "A".

How'd you find this place?

I was scrolling through a chat that both me and Dug were in, and saw the link to this forum he made. It seemed cool and I love browsing old-school forums, so here I am. I also think I remember him talking a bit about this forum before it went live.

What's your favorite aesthetic?

It's either hard sci-fi or alien fantasy; I can't really pick one. By hard sci-fi, I specifically mean media that explores futuristic topics while having scientifically-grounded storytelling and visuals. The Expanse is a good example of this, combining an ambitious space setting with grungy, industrial technology. You can see alien fantasy represented in media like The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Dread Delusion, Hark the Ghoul, and Mohrta.

What do you do for fun?

Mostly programming or working with technology in general. When I'm not browsing the internet or hanging out with friends, I'm usually configuring Emacs or hacking together some random piece of software.

Im an idiot who's good at nothing and likely never will be good at anything. I'm utterly clueless and have an inability to read the room.
I made my profile picture using an mmd model of a character from touhou in blender.
I found this place on agora not long ago in irc.
for fun I like to play kaizo romhacks or touhou pretty much any really hard game with good controls. Other than that I started drawing recently, and I really like cooking and food.
my favorite aesthetic... thats hard I like y2k, vintage, 70s-90s, cute things, vapourwave, small town, winter in a thick forest, heavy rain in a cabin

I'm a sucker for the 80's aesthetic, not as it's portrayed in synthwave or anything like that, but how it really looked. Wood grain paneling and big clunky appliances hit the spot. Like Twin Peaks I guess?

What do you do for fun?

Urban exploration, Listening to music, and I'm getting into drumming but I'm still very much a beginner.

Vaporwave, but really I had such an eclectic music taste that is full of contradictions, hypocrisies and bizarre turns. Maybe bedroom pop would be a close second.

I spend a lot of time reading (history, fiction, junk), hanging out with the boys, travelling and some light vidya

I get to cop out and say that Oscar Peterson is my favourite Jazz musician - as he is Canadian and we gotta celebrate our few heroes when we can!
Can't really hone in on a favourite song but lets drop a good album that is relevant in these festive December times.

One of my favourite musicians of all time is Beach House, which is some seriously haunting music at times. My favourite album will always be their "Thank your lucky stars" and on it, Elegy to the Void
